Posted 14 Nov 2021 by additude Post: Hey Brother, Don't even think about this stuff.... except that you have a lot of concerned patrons and comrads. I got COVID on Sept 25... my wife as well. Lasted 15 days. No hospital stay, we roughed it out at home. It was intense.... Then a month later, I caught it again..... only this time just 5 days.... Stay positive.... stay focused.... get well and healthy. Do Airborne Effervescents as directed, MetaMucil gel caps as directed, Advil as directed and eat. If just noodle soup, cheese. Keep food in your gut. Drink Gatorade, water, V-8, Tomato. Take showers, feel clean and refreshed ...... after about day 10, we walked for like 5 - 10 minutes a day. Just easy.... felt the sun....the air, it was purifying... Get well friend. |

Hardware upgrade

Krzysztof, How do you plan to handle WU's that extend past their due dates because of the upgrade? or will that be an issue? I was not uploading completed WU's a day or two ago but I see they are uploading now. Thanks. |

Posted 28 Oct 2019 by additude Post: I have: ARMv7 Processor rev 3 (v7l) [Impl 0x41 Arch 7 Variant 0x0 Part 0xc07 Rev 3] Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS [4.14.150-170|libc 2.27 (Ubuntu GLIBC 2.27-3ubuntu1)] This is an Odroid XU4 I am noticing that all of my WU's from Universe run my processors at an average of 90% and that WU's from other projects run my processors at an average of 100% Some of my CPU's are 100-ish% and some are way down in the 60-ish% region with Universe. I know that previously, maybe it was the earlier BHspin version, I was realizing 100% processor loads across the board. A look with top or htop will show results. However on my: Hardkernel ODROID-N2 [Impl 0x41 Arch 8 Variant 0x0 Part 0xd03 Rev 4] Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS [4.9.196-63|libc 2.27 (Ubuntu GLIBC 2.27-3ubuntu1)] My processors average 100% with the current BHspin WU's. global_prefs_override.xml is the same for both and is set for 100% utilization. Anyone else experiencing this? |

For one thing, I can't find an announcement anywhere and secondly, there is a misrepresentation about how the dates coincide.... and server status shows everything up and online... Posted 26 Aug 2019 by additude Post: My Crunch times have gone from around 8,000 seconds to around 21,000 seconds with the 283 batch. RAC is dropping accordingly. I'm not whining and I'm not leaving. Universe still provides a good credit compensation for work completed ratio. Don't change anything, leave it just like it is. I'm fine with it. |

Posted 6 Aug 2019 by additude Post: Hello Krzysztof, I want to believe you but Universe has run out of tasks previously and there never was a recovery issue, for me anyways. Maybe the previous WU's were much quicker to create and these new ones take a much longer time to create? I have 3 machines that just will not download WU's since July 24th. I have 4 other machines that received WU's on Aug 1st was last time. I have machines that have received Universe WU's everyday since the 24th of July including today.... they have been crunching right along.... I have manually updated all of these hosts that are not receiving WU's with Universe update requests at least 3 times per day. Out of all of my hosts the three that haven't had any Universe WU's since July 24th doesn't match what you said. That's honestly right at a minimum of 40 requests for WU's that have been un-answered. Yea, maybe it's just a roll of the dice.... but 40 requests in 13 days.... on same days other hosts of mine receive WU's... I think those are Las Vegas odds..... Seems like an anomaly.... |

I just did a full-update on them today..... I still have no Universe WU's... server keeps reporting, "No Tasks Available"...... but it shows it has tasks. I now have 7 machines, including N2's, XU4's and a Friendly M4 that will not download Universe WU's.... Other projects are no problem... Any suggestions? |

I would also venture a guess that it is entirely possible that the Tasks ready to send 3051778 value is inaccurate..... but it seems all task types across the board are affected. |
