Computing Errors with Raspberry Pi 1B+
(Message 3606)
Posted 26 Jul 2019 by universepi Post: Since upgrading to the latest Raspbian operating system (Buster), I'm getting "Error while computing" failures on my Raspberry Pi 1B+ (this is the first generation model). This Pi was running Universe@Home successfully with an earlier version of Raspbian after I edited the cc_config.xml file in /etc/boinc-client with the following addition: <options> <alt_platform>armv6l-unknown-linux-gnueabihf</alt_platform> </options> The above modification was taken from Message 3404: https://universeathome.pl/universe/forum_thread.php?id=394&postid=3404 Help would be appreciated. Thank you. |

No work available (on Raspberry Pi)
(Message 2981)
Posted 13 Jul 2018 by universepi Post: No work units downloaded for my Raspberry Pi Model 1 B+. Is this supposed to occur automatically or do I have to do something? I tried the terminal command boinccmd --project https://universeathome.pl/universe updatebut no work units downloaded. Is this new compilation compatible with an old Pi? |

No work available (on Raspberry Pi)

Posted 12 Jul 2018 by universepi Post: No recent work for my Raspberry Pi either--nothing since 9 July. The project's "Applications" page shows a new Universe BHspin v2 version (0.06) for Linux running on 64-bit ARM; that was created on 10 July 2018. Wasn't the old version 0.01? This is just a guess, but maybe we have to wait for this new version of the app it to be downloaded to our Raspberry Pis. An explanation from the project team would be helpful and appreciated. |
