How to add our team here at Universe@home. I started Antarctic Crunchers last June, we are up to 30 members over at Primegrid and ranking 3rd in their current challenge. We are on several other sites, Rosetta, Seti, Amicable Numbers, Collatz, and TN-Grid to just name a few.... I see that current points for WU's are problem for quite large group of us. Also, I see that small group of WU's now calculate even longer that most of them, So, from next batch I will increase amount of credits by factor of 1.5 or 2 (I need bit more observation of current computation time)... Yes that is something. Thank you for at least some kind of increase to compensate for the increased computation times. Credit reward should scale with amount of the calculations.

OK cool. Worse case I have to remake my donation next month. It was a prepaid visa I received for a rebate. I was only planning on using the balance here anyways. Glad I could contribute. 24hrs and we'll see if my card balance goes to zero with that donation. If not, I will remake it as stated.

Or so is my understanding of it. To generate a monthly salary income. Monthly I cannot do. A one time donation here or there, sure, but I'd like to know exactly what it was for as mentioned above. I've got 5 computers and a cell phone crunching this project and my electric bill is way above average. As someone said above, I do it for science and am paying though burning out my equipment like hdds/ssds cpus etc as well as a whopping electric bill. I don't mind donating something, but doing it every month gave me that sour taste in my mouth. I live near a very large national laboratory. Job descriptions for job openings include knowing how to be able to apply for grants to get projects funded. That seems to be what should be done here. Or, setup a way to make one time donations towards a set goal. Just my 2 cents. Make a donation and cancel it. 1 time donation. Done. There is no contract. One can start and stop donations whenever. I thought that was a good idea. So I just tried to donate and cancel. When I cancelled it removed my donation. So that doesn't seem to work so well. ah, in email is the answer... it says this "No charge has been placed yet. You've pledged to a "per month" page and will be charged on the next 1st of the month, Pacific Time. Your pledge renews automatically and is charged every month. You can cancel at anytime by visiting your pledge page and clicking "Edit". You can read our terms here. " So i'm going to redo this and cancel after the 1st next month.

19) Message boards : Number crunching : 500% increase in processed WUs (Message 3203) Posted 8 Jan 2019 by Penguin Post: I notice that from about Dec 2 I'm getting a lot higher score from Universe than I did before. Looking in my task list it seems that the points awarded per WU is constant, but the time used per WU has decreased from ~20,000 seconds to ~4,000 seconds. The application and version is still the same. Why this sudden difference? I noticed that several months back. Tasks are taking 1/2 to 1/3 as long to complete across the board on various machines. It's not a bad thing, just curious why... improved code? Different data set?
