Definately there is HR problem...
There is another problem as well, about half of tasks is created for "reliable hosts" which means that only hosts with min. 10 consecutive correct tasks done gets new jobs.

Well, that's not working either. I created a Linux VM to run UV tasks. A mere 2 errors from 405 more than meets your standard of reliability. But of course, no tasks are available despite the server status.

Quarkstar WUs are even harder to get, even though 57 are "available".

With the failing Win tasks, the rapid retirement/turnover of apps, retiring the Android app without warning, lack of OSX support and now this debacle, this project is rapidly becoming my least favorite.

Due to the Windows problem, I created a Linux VM.

Guess what....

Tue 23 Aug 2016 03:00:24 PM PDT | Universe@Home | No tasks are available for Universe QuarkStars
Tue 23 Aug 2016 03:00:24 PM PDT | Universe@Home | No tasks are available for Universe Ultraviolet reionization

Meanwhile 110,000 UV tasks on server

I always suspect the anti-viruses on Windows. You don't have that on Linux. And adding BOINC as an exception to the AV does not always work. I would try a different AV, or else suspend it for a while as a test.

For wiser or dumber, I don't have AV on any of my Win machines because I'm only running BOINC. I only visit project websites. Still all three of them can't crunch these tasks so it isn't the AV in my case.

I have the same errors, but strangely enough it only happens on one of my hosts, this one with Win Vista. On the other one with Win 7 there was no error yet...

You're lucky!

Intel core duo (Win 7)
AMD quad core Phenom II (Win 7)
Intel quad core N3540 (Win 10)

All failing immediately

According to BM, my BHspin tasks take an estimated 3:25:51 and ULX estimated to take 3:02:51.

My last 20 tasks have actually taken an average of 3:05:00 for BHspin and 1:48:00 for ULX (18 tasks). Not too bad.

The problem is that projects dont have the option of setting FPOPS on a per application basis because that would be useful.

Hence on PrimeGrid i get estimates of 400+ hours for GPU tasks that take about 54 hours.

And now I cant get any more work because I've reached a limit so I guess you did set a limit.

Do you add WU credits from old Universe@Home test with new Universe@Home for each user ?

Unfortunately not...

Is it possible to take the file from Willy or Bok and merge to give a combined total?

Thanks for responding.

1. I've set in preferences for just the BHspin tasks and so I get 4 of these running
2. I created it using gedit on Linux directly into the project folder
3. 7.4.9+ is not a stable version otherwise I would try it.

for my own amusement, i want to run just one task at a time - so I generated the usual app config.

BM finds it but it doesn't work - it runs on all 4 cores. Previously this has been because of the wrong app name - but I got this one from the client-state.xml file.

<app_config>
<app>
<name>universe-BHspin</name>
<max_concurrent>1</max_concurrent>
</app>
</app_config>

Can anyone correct my mistake please?

BM 7.2.42
OS Ubuntu 14.04

Are there more Universe X-ray sources v4 v0.02 upcoming soon? or are they finished?

It will be no more X-ray sources v4 at the moment but we need results from tasks in progress.

Does this mean you will never have v4 tasks again?

Why do applications here last a few weeks and then disappear?
