I get a very basic set of pages.

BHSpin2 runs fine. Only ULX errors.
Odd, given that they have the same dynamic lib dependencies:

So they should probably remove this project. At the moment they just download a job only for it to fail as soon as it "starts".

Or make the executable a non-dynamic one...

So what´s exactly the option "Use at most x % of the CPUs" used for?
That might depend on where you set it.
The BOINC Client has an option to use Web preferences. It should be off by default (on the grounds that mine is off, and I don't recall ever having changed things).
So you set 25% of CPUs in your client.
If you run multiple projects you don't really want to have to go round all projects to set this individually.

For some reason my logs now contains this (previously they did not):
Fri 09 Aug 2019 17:38:12 BST | Universe@Home | Sending scheduler request: Requested by project.
which is happening every 10 minutes.

And if all 12000+ active hosts are doing this that means your server is getting ~20 requests per second for tasks.

Has something changed in the last day or so?

For some reason my logs now contains this (previously they did not):
Fri 09 Aug 2019 17:38:12 BST | Universe@Home | Sending scheduler request: Requested by project.
which is happening every 10 minutes.
Given that this can be (often is) followed immediately by:
Fri 09 Aug 2019 17:38:12 BST | Universe@Home | Not requesting tasks: don't need (CPU: not highest priority project; Intel GPU: not highest priority project)
Fri 09 Aug 2019 17:38:15 BST | Universe@Home | Scheduler request completed
it doesn't seem to be the BOINC scheduler doing this.

I wrote before that while in server is more than 2k tasks ready to send feeder can't serve all hosts.
This will go better as less tasks will be ready to go.
This is a chicken and egg problem.
The server routinely has ~3 million tasks ready.
It can't serve them out properly, so the number stays high,
If the number were lower it could serve out more and the number would drop even lower.

I would also venture a guess that it is entirely possible that the
Tasks ready to send 3051778
value is inaccurate.....
I'm beginning to wonder that,
If this figure were bogus and in fact there actually aren't many BHSpin to send it would explain things.
A small bunch get added - a few systems request jobs and get them all - the rest of the system see there are no jobs.

The average run-time seems to be ~2 hours. There are, apparently, ~124000 jobs in progress for ~1400 users. That's an average of 177 hours outstanding work per user - which is >1 week. That doesn't seem to tie in with what is being reported here,.

Sun 04 Aug 2019 02:05:41 BST | Universe@Home | Project has no tasks available
which was odd, as it had had at most 1 job before the reset. So where did 18 lost ones come from?

Since then it has mostly gotten 0 tasks/Project has no tasks available each time it reporst a complete task (which always seem to get done individually).
Except once, when it managed:
Sun 04 Aug 2019 15:50:42 BST | Universe@Home | Sending scheduler request: To report completed tasks.
Sun 04 Aug 2019 15:50:42 BST | Universe@Home | Reporting 1 completed tasks
Sun 04 Aug 2019 15:50:42 BST | Universe@Home | Requesting new tasks for CPU
Sun 04 Aug 2019 15:50:46 BST | Universe@Home | Scheduler request completed: got 12 new tasks
on that same system. The other 3 aren't getting anything.

So something is weird about the job server.

You need to have proper versions of the libraries installed in your system: CXXABI_1.3.9 libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.21'
The absence of such a library won't prevent you getting jobs downloaded - it will just prevent them running onve the have been.

So that wouldn't be related to why several of us are seeing a marked reluctance for the server to serve out jobs when asked.

I think I have a clue. Universe apparently asks for new work every time you upload results, even though new work may not be needed for your buffer size.
Whether it asks for new work when submitting results depends on whether it needs more in order to fulfil your client configuration.

Although I am mostly getting:
Tue 30 Jul 2019 14:32:43 BST | Universe@Home | Requesting new tasks for CPU
Tue 30 Jul 2019 14:32:46 BST | Universe@Home | Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks
Tue 30 Jul 2019 14:32:46 BST | Universe@Home | Project has no tasks available
at the moment, I did once get this:
Sun 28 Jul 2019 19:27:44 BST | Universe@Home | Sending scheduler request: Requested by user.
Sun 28 Jul 2019 19:27:44 BST | Universe@Home | Not requesting tasks: don't need (job cache full)
Sun 28 Jul 2019 19:27:46 BST | Universe@Home | Scheduler request completed
because I run several other projects too and they had sufficient work pending in existing jobs.

But most of the time I'm getting no Universe@HOME jobs.
It was OK until the recent server upgrade.

I'm not getting any BHSpin work on any of my 4 systems at the moment.
I have got the occasional job over the last few days (including one for my RasPi) so I know the system can find jobs.
Just that at the moment all are reporting that there is none available.

Tue 30 Jul 2019 14:51:39 BST | Universe@Home | Sending scheduler request: Requested by user.
Tue 30 Jul 2019 14:51:39 BST | Universe@Home | Requesting new tasks for CPU
Tue 30 Jul 2019 14:51:41 BST | Universe@Home | Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks
Tue 30 Jul 2019 14:51:41 BST | Universe@Home | Project has no tasks available

And, if it's of any interest, I have only ever received BHSpin jobs, despite my profile allowing "all applications " and other ones actually existing.

But I am now getting "Project has no tasks available".
Probably because everyone's queue has run dry and there haven't been enough tasks generated (yet) to fill them all, so the first ones there drained the task queue. So just wait a bit...?
