1) Message boards : Number crunching : Some task run longer than usual (Message 3764) Posted 4 Sep 2019 by Guy PFLIEGER HR Post: Universe@home is with CPU one of the best payed project in credit in regards to other project. usually if you compute themselve an own project with the virtual box with an I7 then he is giving with full power only 220 credits for a quarter of an hour computing for a chemistry project. I explain: I received an order to do that for a brilliant student of the chemistry high school of mulhouse. After solving the whole models in a quarter of an hour with 8 CPU i received 220 points. This is the reason why i am sure that Universe@home computing is overpayed. Instead that the boincer do critik upon the credit payment They should think that the project congratulate you for your computing because without your computing for boinc then we could not make significative advance in science. Your Help bring the future of the planet and the first who benefit of this knoledge are your children at school or for other project your own medical system. Best Regards Guy PFLIEGER France
2) Message boards : Number crunching : Some task run longer than usual (Message 3721) Posted 24 Aug 2019 by Guy PFLIEGER HR Post: other way to look the problem: The server receive every 24 hours 116000 tasks i compute every day 529 tasks the server says 100 tasks computed every 2.09 hours so the true value of my percentage is: (529/116000)*100=0.4560% If i look the server i do: 44 tasks every 2 hours so the percentage is a litle higher as 44% Best Regards Guy PFLIEGER

4) Message boards : Number crunching : Some task run longer than usual (Message 3717) Posted 23 Aug 2019 by Guy PFLIEGER HR Post: You are true i noticed the same with Windows 10 but i tell me one question I compute the whole day with 44 processors and i have 529 tasks solved in one day So i came to 44 tasks solved every 2 hours The server say that 100 tasks are solved in 2 hours and 6 minutes and there are 2200 user connected at the project So i tell me truly one question: Is the server saying true or the other make only a few work for universe@home I am in a trouble! I found that kaspersky is locking the dowload of tasks It is important to unlock BH Spin2 in kaspersky To increase the speed of the computers it is real to clean the computer and the registry( maybe with ccleaner) it is important to have the latest version of java If you work at the same time with GPU then update regulary the driver of the GPU The restart the computer Do the latest memory and registry cleaning then look the speed of your computer on the boinc website Then try a speed test of the computers with boinc Then compare the result on boins projects website You will see big change in the speed computation of your computers If the computers are hot then clean the cards and cooler and fan with pressured dry air It then something is wrong it is not your fault dear boincer Best regards to everybody Guy PFLIEGER France
