It's because server sent you non-pie version of application where Android 5.0+ don't accept it...

Got 32 tasks,, we shall see how it goes. I think Im running android 4.3 on that RCA tablet.
Clock is still running after 5 hours, but progress bar at 99% and has staying their for a couple of hours now. Ill ignore the progress bar and watch them out to 10 hours or so.

Anything i can do to fix this?

Here are many ARM-Devices waiting for work.
Please give us more WUs.

I just mark Android non-pie application as deprecated due to problems with sending it to devices with Android versions 5.0+.
I hope this solve most errors but unfortunately also block devices with Android versions below 4.1...

I received wu on my android device 4.4, finishing, them sending results, saw credits in boinc, but not on my account on the website. Normal ?

Edit : My phone Android 4.2.1 isn't receiving wu but i can see it on the website

Also, my non-pie devices received pie work units that would error out after a short time. A problem may still exist. I have detached them (for now I hope).

Edit: before the deprecation. No scheduler request afterwards as far as I know...

I received 4 workunits Universe X-ray sources for Android v0.05 (android_arm_pie) all return and 4 error while computing.

My 14 ARM-devices with 100 core run over 1500 WUs without any error.
Need more work.

LG G4 H815 (Android 6.0), almost all the WUs completed;
Google Asus Nexus 7 2013 Wi-Fi (Android 6.0), all seems to be ok;
Samsung Galaxy S3 (Android 4.3), 5 WUs successfully completed.
Good work :P
Now you have to develop a version for x86 Android devices: I'm going to buy the Asus ZenFone Zoom (Intel Atom CPU) and this version doesn't work on this device.

Unfortunately I don't have any device with Android with x86 CPU... So until I get one is no chance for this version of application :(

Hello, I am having issues with the Android application.

I have HTC M8 Android version 3.4.0-g152801d (Android 5.0.1).

I have downloaded a couple of tasks, but the first four keep going from 63% to 55% for over 3 hours now.

Does anyone else have this issue with Android v5? I have a table with version 4 and it seems to be able to work them without issues.

Maybe your device get to hot and throttles or switch off some core.
Try to run only 3 or 2 tasks same time.

Hi Jagdog,

I will try, however I used these devices to work on units from different projects like WorldCommunityGrid and it had no issues before. I had 4 cores running at 100%. I will try your solution and post back in hopes someone else is having the same issue as I. The weird thing is that it did complete two units, but now is stuck on the latest four for a couple of hours now. Keeps saying that it only did between 33min and 47 minutes of work.

Just an update.

You were correct Jagdog. It seems like because I was having 4 cores it was getting to the heat limit and kept suspending. I also have a setting that has BOINC suspend when the screen is on and it was probably that constant stop and go that reset them.

I have now only 2 running and have un-selected the stop when screen is on.

Can you please let me know how your android device is set up? How many cores and what temp you have selected?
