From new batch we start to send about 4 times longer work units... Longer WU's allow us to check some models more deeply and also this change will unload server by giving us same data in less files... Will the deadlines be adjusted likewise? Otherwise all the people that just crunch a couple of hours per day will be "excluded" from this project. |

Runtime on my Xeon L5520 will be ~24 hours, I received 91(!) workunits yesterday - very hard deadline if this isn't the only project p.s.: cache setting = store 0.75 + additional 0.25 so I guess you didn't increase RSC_FPOPS_EST |

OT : The WU names somehow bring up memories to Roelof Engelbrecht, who passed away November 16, 2004 - crunchers of SETI Classic (pre-BOINC) sure still remember him and probably his weblog about his fight against cancer, that he lost on that day. |

No, credits also will be changed :) Can you give us an idea what these may be? I currently have two running: (1) lmm unit that should take 8 hours and I assume will be credited 333.33 which would be about 1k/day. Little below average on this box but in the acceptable range, (1) RLOF work unit that will take 30 hours or more. Hoping these will be at least 1500 to compensate for the risk of losing work or a computation error late in the unit. It seems you like fractional numbers, how about 1666.65? |

It seems you like fractional numbers, how about 1666.65? They seem to be granting 1,538.46 credits for each of those new WUs. Take a look at WU 2830585 for example. |

Estimated completion times should be updated from two hours. I got eight that will last 25 hours each - I unfortunately have to abort six due to other commitments |

IIRC the estimated runtime is calculated by your local Boinc client after crunching a certain amount of WUs of one and the same application. |

Due to longer WU's completion time I had updated application to new version where checkpoints are generated 10 times more often then before (200 checkpoints for one WU in compare to 20 before). Also, after this batch new work units get 14 days deadline (currently 7 days). Krzysztof 'krzyszp' Piszczek Member of Radioactive@Home team My Patreon profile Universe@Home on YT |

It doesn't matter for me but some have complained about the upload size in the past so it's probably worth to mention. The upload size seems to have been reduced, when I saw one that was just uploading, it was only about half the size of the previous results. |

Thanks for the post Hoosh. I can live with that total. |

1,538.46 will be final. As long, as it will be comparable to previous amounts... Krzysztof 'krzyszp' Piszczek Member of Radioactive@Home team My Patreon profile Universe@Home on YT |
