I decided to install Debian unstable but I afraid it's not "stable" enough. Well, I met some small bugs, but with stable, software aren't updated. Fedora and OpenSUSE , well, my network only allow Debian on fast-speed. But stable version , maybe BOINC is not updated? Well, stable or unstable better? |

Had similar problem but I then installed Debian testing, boinc package installs and runs fine on an old I7 dell laptop with Nvidia GPU. I know this does not address Unsable Debian issue but at least Testing branch is like a rolling release with the latest packages. My other machines run Arch Linux with AMD GPUs and that is why I tend to like to run the latest software releases, thus Debian testing. But stable is not the way I think. |
