I'm at a loss, here. I have a few Raspberry Pis happily crunching Universe tasks, but none of my Windows 10 computers will download anything. I did a Reset on one of them, and it just keep cycling through the same loop... "Fetching configuration file", "Project communication failed", "Internet access OK, project servers may be temporarily down." It does a backoff, which recently grew to 24 hours before attempting again, unsuccessfully. This went on for several days.

I have now completely removed the project from that machine, and tried to add it again. Every time I do, I get a "Failed to add project, please try again later." message. Just to verify it wasn't the actual machine, I've done the same thing on another Windows machine, with the same results.

Can anybody tell me what's going on? I've searched through the message boards and seen others were having errors getting work, but none addressed the issue of reset and adding failures.

"... none of my Windows 10 computers will download anything"

I noticed this as well when the PC Windows 10 computers were running an older BOINC client. Any error message shown did not clearly indicate the cause. Download and install least 7.16.20 on your Windows PCs and try it again. At least that worked for me.

Yup, that did the trick. Thanks for the help!

And on a side note, so much for the "Check for new BOINC version" selection in the Help menu. I tried that several times and got a message saying there was no new version available. I was running 7.16.11, so I guess that only works for major updates as it didn't tell me that 7.16.20 was available.
