I noticed longer WUs today, I wonder what differences they have

I noticed that. They are running 65 minutes on my i9-10900F (Ubuntu 20.04.3).
I think the old ones were about 45 minutes, though it has been a while since I last ran them.

EDIT: But my ones from November were even longer, about 75 minutes, so I guess it varies. However, I may have been running another project then that slowed them down. I am running only the Universe ones now.

It would be nice to get a year-end update on our progress while we are on the subject.

As it has already been described several times on the forum, in each series of WU the working time increases to a certain point and then returns to the initial state with a new series. The whole process repeats with successive combinations of parameters.

Yes. This is very true. All you have to do prove the cyclical nature of the work is use the Statistics tab in the Manager.
Set your stats retention to 180 days in cc_config.xml and set the stats to show project host average and you can see the 3-4 week cycles peak and null for every new task series.
