Trying to add the project to a new computer. I select Universe, click next where it says 'communicating with Project' I then get 'Failed to add Project try again later' I never get to the prompt for new/existing user' I have tried this over several days. Other projects are adding just fine. Anyone have any ideas no this? Thanks |

Probably a SSL certification problem with the client. Try the new client here. https://boinc.berkeley.edu/dl/boinc_7.16.20_windows_x86_64.exe https://boinc.berkeley.edu/dl/boinc_7.16.20_windows_x86_64_vbox.exe A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |

The new 7.16.20 client is posted now to the official BOINC download page. https://boinc.berkeley.edu/download_all.php A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |

I have the same problem but I'm not trying to add this project to a new computer. I run this project on this PC before but delete it. Now I can't add it back. Why? There's no problem adding it to Andriod devices. Maybe sth to do with the OS? It's still running on WinXP. Trying to add the project to a new computer. |

Is your BOINC version 7.16.20? If not, please update and the problem should go away. |

@jackielan2000. Is that 32 bit or 64 bit Win XP? Universe@Home on Windows is 64 bit only. |

Hi, as the subject has been raised, i take this as a chance to express myself :) well, it's the same for me. I did not use my crunching PC for a while and i was told by BOINC that the universe address has changed so i removed the project Now, i cannot add it : it says FAILED TO ADD PROJECT I'm also using XP64 SP 2 and BOINC 7.12.1 . I know there are new versions, but it's not clearly said that they work with XP64, i also changed the CA (certificate for older version without success (for example Milkyway@home and Cosmolgy@home are working fine); Any interesting advices? thank you Best Quatraile |

Any interesting advices?I had to upgrade to the latest Version in order to add Universe@home to my systems. You could try manually entering the URL & see if that works with the older Manager. Grant Darwin NT |
