Hi,

5 hours into today's crunching and I've got 2 million credits, about 10x my computers' usual maximum daily capability!

I have the usual spread of "In Progress/Validation Pending/Valid" tasks with the 1000(ish) valid tasks going back to beginning of April each having 1000 credits...

What's going on?

Jon

I set revalidation process for all tasks where errors like "file to big" and "disk limit exceed" and execution time was bigger then few seconds.
So, most of the tasks get granted credit for it's work done.

Edit:
But of course, I will have a look at you credits and check others as well.

I had 11 tasks aborted by the server 3 hours ago, with 7 of them having a successfully completed task in the workunit which now has the status "Completed, can't validate". I have one task which has suffered the same fate. Presumably the affected tasks will also be granted credit.

Yes, all the tasks already get credits.
Let me know if any of your task didn't, please.

Thanks Krysztof.

The 7 workunits where I had a cancelled task and another task was successfully completed have granted 1000 credits to the completed task (WUs 44132225, 44132322, 44132431, 44132453, 44132693, 44132597 and 44132782), but my own successfully completed task in WU 44105196 was granted 0.

The 2 differences I can see are:

  1. The WUs for the tasks granted credit were created on 17th April. The anomalous WU was created on 6th.
  2. The WUs for the tasks granted credit had only issued the initial replication of 2 tasks. A third task was issued for the anomalous WU after the _1 task timed out.

Sorted :)
The task was from older batch, you got granted credits for it (and 1792 others for various users as well).

Hello. I had a task deemed invalid because there were too many errors, although mine returned correctly: result.php?resultid=95998145. I don't really care about credits but I wouldn't mind. ;-)

More important is the fact that this task was actually sent to me when the work unit already had 6 computing errors: workunit.php?wuid=43785180. Results 0 to 5 all returned before I got my task, result 2 being the one causing the resend. So the server already knew this WU would never validate, and creating a resend would always lead to wasted computing power.
