I also got this WU, which failed. The problem is the following: upload failure: <file_xfer_error> <file_name>universe_ulx_509_8269_20000_1-999999_220000_6_r319395330_1</file_name> <error_code>-131 (file size too big)</error_code> </file_xfer_error> |

https://universeathome.pl/universe/workunit.php?wuid=43784408 Count me in on this file to large error. I see only 1 person has completed it ok. I think I see the problem already from my experience on another project. It's a VBOX version compatibility problem. The two systems (1 that ran it ok and then 1 running it now) are using VBOX 5.x.x We run 6.x.x Another project I just started has a problem with anything higher than 6.1.2 So since I run 6.1.4 all their work crashes. |

I am not sure vbox version makes that clear cut of a difference. I am running a Linux machine with vbox 5.2.34 and I am also getting the occasional disk limit exceeded error. These errors are more likely with the older WUs. |

It's definitely nothing to do with vbox. I chose not to install it and have had file size too big errors. "The ultimate test of a moral society is the kind of world that it leaves to its children." - Dietrich Bonhoeffer |

"file size too big" message tells, that files created by WU are larger then declared in particular WU template. Unfortunately, during test the largest files which I got was about 750MB (temporarily), So I leave limit at about 1GB. As we start batch then occasionally WU creates larger temporary files (even 1.5GB) and now limit is set up to 2GB. "disk limit exceed" tells that files takes more space than allowed in Boinc Manager settings on client machine. This happens when BM not correctly calculate space requirements from active user projects and all projects (more precisely - all current computed WU's) uses more space then allowed in settings.
