Yestarday I got new application for our project. Currently I need to make some changes in work generator to make it compatible with new app. I would like to make some WU's for new application in test mode and if everything will work fine - I will generate more WU's in next 2-3 days. If the app is still running as a test then I guess I know where the problem is, because I can't activate the test app option for some reason... Life is Science, and Science rules. You need to update project in Manager to get new application (is not in testing mode any more). Well, that is strange then, in the past quarter hour I tried everything from project reset to de/reattach but didn't get any work. Now I tried activating the test option again and suddenly it can be activated again. I don't know WTF this is, since Firefox sometimes also does strange things lately it could be that this was browser-related, who knows. But guess what I get now? Work... Hey Kryz, I got one WU I saw. I went and Updated to get some more. I checked the Error log and got this: 8/15/2015 11:23:13 PM | Universe@Home | Requesting new tasks for CPU 8/15/2015 11:23:16 PM | Universe@Home | [error] No start tag in scheduler reply I don't want to reset as I don't want to dump the WU in progress. App is v3 0.02. Is that the right one? Best, ~YV |

The new application seems to be working fine. Thank you for the update! Apparenlty the new application underwent a major redesign as my machine runs much cooler than before. With the previous app my i5-3320M burned about 17W per hour, now it's down to 11.5W per hour (same clock speed, same BOINC settings, same CPU utilization, etc.). The average computation time per WU has risen from 13500 seconds to 22500 seconds (+67%), whereas credits have risen from 222 to 333 (+50%). |
