As stated in title Android tasks get to 100% then restart at 0%.

This is my 2nd or 3rd Tasks it has happened to in a month now.

Most recent task ...Which I aborted because it will not be done before deadline.
https://universeathome.pl/universe/result.php?resultid=84953918

There is nothing in stderr output explaining what happened and nothing in the BOINC message log on the device either.

Until this is fixed I have quit doing any Android tasks for the project. Why waste my time when I have to abort the task because if I continue crunching it will not finish by deadline and not receive any credit anyways.

I have a similar problem on Android, but the tasks don't reset, they simply stay at 100% and never finish.

Android 9 host running perfectly fine: https://universeathome.pl/universe/show_host_detail.php?hostid=540185

Like you say they never finish. However, if you pause the tasks then unpause them they will start again from zero. This usually, but not always, fixes the units and they will run to completion.

I've tryed this project on 2 android devices:

an old wiko sunset2 with Android 3.4.67 (Android 4.4.2)
and a new tablet HUAWEI MediaPad T5 with Android 4.4.23+ (Android 8.0.0)

wiko (with 4.4) works fine (in last years get about 1,351,009 credits)
while the tablet show the problem, all WU stay at 100% and after some days or a reboot they restart from 0% in a seemingly infinite loop

may be the android universe client was not tested with new android versions ?
or on some devices (like HUAWEI) the SoCs are not fully supported ?
(eg. the HUAWEI tablet SoC is strange, for some reason do not exports the CPU load parameter)

Android is very fragmented. Every manufacturer have his changes even in kernel... :(
The only few devices I can check and even on my tablet application doesn't work...

They work perfectly on my two phones. Android 4.4 (Alps P20) and Android 7.0 (VKWorld Mix Plus).

Yes I agree, manufacturers mess about. My Alps P20 actually claims to be Android 6.0 until I interrogate it with CPU-Z. The seller is an outright liar, but I got my money back and kept the phone :-)
