I have two Android phones, one is Android 7, one is Android 6. The Android 7 phone joined 10 projects, including Universe, and runs them all fine. The Android 6 phone had trouble finding any projects at all, and eventually I got 6 attached from the master list within the standard Boinc client (same version on both phones - 7.4.53). The other 4 (Universe, World Community Grid, Enigma, and Einstein) do not appear in the list to join, and if I try to join by URL, nothing happens. No failure notice, nothing, it just doesn't add the project. Any ideas? |

There's a bug with 7.4.53 that causes projects not to attach on some Androids. You need to install version 7.4.43, There'a link to it in this thread. https://boinc.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=12295#84663 Pete |

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. Although it did eventually seem to find them. My older phone found no projects, then after leaving it for 20 minutes, it found all 30 of them. My newer phone found the correct 10 Android compatible projects straight away. So I just added the correct ones only to the old phone. It took a while to attach to some of them, but it did it after another 20 minute wait. Once they were on they work fine. |
