Look Admin project person,

I am at 0 credit now on your project. You have how many thousands of tasks lined up? Yet your system has a bottle neck you don't fix? Something illogical explanation that it happens when xx thousands of tasks are sent to the queue? Why did you do this when you know it jams up your system for certain users?
Why not pull some of that off and store it some place so your server works correctly?

I'll give you until the end of the month to fix this crazy issue and if not fixed I am gone.
No need to be attached to a project that does not work and then when it does come back the backlog of credit is so big that it takes over my system for a week.

Nuts!

Well, either the bottleneck got solved or something miraculous happened, because now I have a big batch of tasks. Only took 5 weeks to resolve itself. Now after that work is done, I wonder...do I go another 5 weeks without work or has the problem been fixed?

Good to hear. I haven't had a problem with this, but glad it's resolved for you. I'm running a very small cache on all of my machines and pretty much exclusively Universe on the CPUs at the moment. I've noticed that problems on project work fetch can occur if I try to keep a large cache or run many projects at once. In that case some projects will download too much for the BOINC settings and others will starve.

I`m getting max 64tasks per download session, which is problem as long as i have my i7 machine running in garage without internet connection. I`m able to compute 120 - 130 tasks per day easily, but i receive more than 64tasks.. WTF? I need 2-3days of work, then compute and upload it via my personal hotspot on iphone.. im not willing to visit my garage twice per day, just because of this limit..

Just set longer/bigger period in Options->Store up to additional XX days of work (e.g. 3-4 days).

I tried it, I have set up like 10days additional work, but I always get 32 tasks for 4core CPU (different account),
Maximum is set by server and it is 8 tasks per core. I'd also like to increase cache, because I have same problem PC is running without internet and once in a few days I connect it with personal hotspot to upload and download tasks. Btw: It's ARM Orange pi if it matters :)

Yes.. It is a well-known problem that comes and goes. I got some again last night, and then nothing again now.

I have just returned to the project. Initially I got "No tasks available" as well but after a few attempts 50 minutes later first tasks came in.

I guess some hiccups occur.
