Does anyone have a Threadripper 2xxx on Universe@Home? (Especially 2990WX) I'd like to know how much work it can do in a day. ASUS X570 E-Gaming AMD Ryzen 9 3950X, 16 core / 32 thread 4.4 GHz AMD Radeon Sapphire RX 480 4GB Nitro+ Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti Gaming X Trio 4x16 GB Corsair Vengeance RGB 3466 MHz |

Clocks of any Ryzen CPU should be enough. Clocks will vary output more than the difference between Zen and Zen+. Any anyway its not hard to find the top computers list that is available for every BOINC project. https://universeathome.pl/universe/show_host_detail.php?hostid=502490 That PC isn't running Universe full time though. Only 21 tasks atm. Find the average completion time and multiply for # of cores. RAC is useless. |

the 2990wx is a bit different to a normal ryzen. you can more or less extrapoliate from a ryzen X to a TR x950 (or smaller), bute the 2970WX and the 2990WX have 2 CCX with only indirect access to ram. the better questions is: how much RAM bandwith need U@H and how important ist the latency? |
