Hello Be careful, the Boinc Manager indicates an estimated runtime of 1h20 for WUs that take 2h20. Thus, the computer takes too much work that can partly not be calculated in due time. Win8 - boinc 7.2.42 |

This WU showed 4:30 to completion, My partner did it about that time. My PC is at 100% but is at 36 hrs for the same wu. http://universeathome.pl/universe/workunit.php?wuid=1488851 Dude, where's my car? |

Now the WU's I had have been cooking for over 80 hours at 100% and then they went past reporting date. So now are invalid. This sucks. Dude, where's my car? |

If any WU take's more than 10 hours on modern computer just abort it... Also, I never test it on Windows 10 as I don't have machine with this system. Krzysztof 'krzyszp' Piszczek Member of Radioactive@Home team My Patreon profile Universe@Home on YT |

OK, but can't the app check itself to prevent this? I had several units fail because of this issue, and they all show as aborted with lots of crunch time. http://universeathome.pl/universe/results.php?userid=3608&offset=0&show_names=0&state=6&appid= Dude, where's my car? |

It happens in less than 1% of Windows WU's (less than 0.0001% for Linux)... Krzysztof 'krzyszp' Piszczek Member of Radioactive@Home team My Patreon profile Universe@Home on YT |

Problem is if you get an oddball WU that is legit, but just because of what it contains causes a long runtime. So have to be careful going out and automatically aborting units because of a long runtime... |
