On our server just start new BHDB (Black Hole Database) application. First work units release will be testing one, to check if everything is ok with application and points system :) In near future we will publish more information about it. The most recent ones have completed for me without error, and are awaiting validation. https://universeathome.pl/universe/results.php?userid=2317&offset=0&show_names=0&state=2&appid= These were run under Lubuntu 17.10.1 on a Ryzen 1700, which might make a difference. I will try my Haswell machine again shortly. |

I hope, some day we can use Black Holes and Quasars energy for our travels in Space. My be we will live on them some day. Yes, I know, it is a fantasy now, but iron ships was fantasy too many years ago. I hope DB BH and Q is useful now and can help us. |

Just stopped sending new units from "3" batch, changed files size restriction bit higher and generated batch 4. Are tasks from 3 OK? I just received some and some 4s. Of the 26 I downloaded, not a single one was an original task. None were _0, all were _2 to _4. What's this like the 4th-5th consecutive app so start off bad? Please run some of these tasks yourself before releasing to us. There used to be a Universe Test project. I'd like to support this project but the bad app released and tasks that never end w/o a fix after 2+ years make it hard to contribute. |

I leaved some "3" tasks to go on (the already sent ones) to check it. I have used my 90+ threads (45 CPU cores with multithreading) on various machines to test it, but when 50+ tests are ok I sent it to server... What I found just now, that on multi-thread CPU's (>16 threads e.g.) BM starts tasks and space allocated for WU's are filled at the time just before sending results to server (on my computer it was 99.995% of wu time). When i look into the Boinc-dir, /Slots....the files "Data1.dat2" and "Data1.dat3" go up to 3xx MB. Both files have the same size. Under Linux this files under 200MB and running fine to 100%. |

Hmm, space required for this app is set to 900MB, so even if that both files grow to 400MB it should by not a problem (other files are small). I just create another batch - 10 times smaller, just to see what happens (tasks will finish in about 7-10 minutes on fast machines).
