Message 2691 - Posted: 11 Mar 2018, 16:58:57 UTC - in response to Message 2690.

Server is delayed with transfers because of large quantity of very short WU's. It should clear in about 3-4 hours.
Btw, what shows messages in logs when you try retry upload?

11/03/2018 17:56:25 | | Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down.

That explains it.
Thanks :)

Great Job. This Projekt is on a high level und one of the best! The 0.03 are very short (an old j2900 with Linux need 11 - 13 minutes) and until now, no one is invalid.

It's not to many of that short WU's.
Standard WU for this app is 10x longer.

Something is wrong.
The % is over 1h at 0,665% and estimated time is over 10days.
I tested on other host to suspend 3WU and run only 1 the same.
Logged in with ssh and see in top 4 WUs running. The suspended take 1 core each.

After restarting the host the WUs runs until 0,780% and stops at this point. Top show it running.
Started second Wu stand at 0,010%.

Message 2700 - Posted: 11 Mar 2018, 23:04:12 UTC

Hi there, I cannot upload any of my tasks :(
they constantly stop just moments before they can complete. then they restart and again stop just moments before they complete.
i currently have a great many tasks completed an unable to upload because of this strangeness.
my other project tasks upload fine upon completion, and my internet connection remains stable and uninterrupted- the tasks simply stop just before completing their upload. in fact, many show they reached a 100% upload status but still remain in place as being in a standby condition, awaiting a retry.
is there something wrong with the server? are others encountering this?

Those are the _5. They are now up to _9, and work fine.

I got a pile of _4, _5, _8 and _9 last. Now no tasks available!

A few _9 quit with "196 (0xc4) EXIT_DISK_LIMIT_EXCEEDED" (3 out of ~100). Way better ratio than for the old _5 large jobs (667 credit ones), but still not all OK.

All, _6 and _8 passed without error (smaller jobs, ~67 credits).

I guess they run out again to give time for fixes still needed to make the new jobs perfect.:)

Missed that. Then they should have been aborted on the server side. I aborted quite a few others that were not batch 9.

@Admin:

please stop sending us _5 or below tasks. nearly all of them end up in failure.
it is a waste of time and energy. for us and for you.

These WUs are cancelled after 4 or more clients return a task of the respective WU with an error. (Would be good if Krzysztof cancelled them earlier.)

For fun, I downloaded a bunch of these _5 tasks yesterday (among a whole lot of _9 tasks), shut down the client, edited client_state.xml for a bigger <rsc_disk_bound>, restarted the client, and computed these tasks successfully.

But many or all of these tasks (of the ones that I uploaded so far) were then marked as "Completed, can't validate" on the server, with errors = "Too many errors (may have bug)" status of the WU. I'm sure nobody else did the editing that I did, and I was probably not my own wingman in any of these tasks... :-/

However, I have a nasty problem with the _9 series tasks from Sunday:

Their results files are ~20 MB per task. And with the amount of processors that I have (somewhat above normal), and my internet connection on the other hand (a pretty normal German cable modem connection), I can compute about 4 times more tasks than I can upload during the same time!

I wonder how that compares with the _5 (or other) tasks. The reason may simply be that the _9 are larger now. But if they were divided into smaller pieces, then the upload amount would still be the same in total. It could be just that the earlier ones failed more often that you did not see the problem earlier.

if only the server actually stopped sending them out after 4 errors.
