As you know, security issues arrive to computers world (Meltdown and Spectre)... Yes, we work on it, but the problem is that is still no patch for this bugs, so we decide to slow down until "big boys" find solution... ....does that mean, if the "Big Boys" (whoever they are) don´t find an acceptable solution within the next year, Universe@home will be ?"slow down"? for the next year? |

At the moment I'm still waiting for patches to the operating system... Unfortunately on last weeks I'm under process of relocating to new home, so have very limited time to work with project (I hope to finish this week). Also, I got new version of application source code as result of recent tasks, and also I need to get some new information about new privacy legislations witch will be implemented in UE soon. So, temporary I have stopped new tasks generation for few weeks until the problems will be solved. Dell has started to release new updated BIOS downloads for systems using Intel chips. Subject to what you are running it appears that Intel has started to provide manufactures with mitigation assistance. Message for Krzysztof Piszczek, What is your system structure ? AMD or IBM based and what OS manufacturer ? Lots of OS patches being released and if you are using a brand name system such as HP, Dell, IBM a fair number of manufacturers are posting updates. If you share some basic information perhaps the community can assist in finding your update paths.
