1. Deadline for next batches I will set to 4-5 days.
2. I have blocked users without computers attached to prevent mass boinc-forum spam. It's really issue that I know from two other projects where I got 100's posts every day (no, captcha doesn't block them).
3. Also I will generate more work in next two-three days period as I need to wait for our scientists for directions...

Apologize for delay, I just come from airport in Poland and will be less than usually on Internet until Friday.

Well, as far as I can see, problems with BAM disappeared. One can attach to Universe@Home without issues.

Thank You

I had to cancel WU's because I would never have finished them on time ... :/

G'Day Krzysztof,

Just confirmed that you can't post to the Number Crunching forum without getting the error

""Users with no hosts attached are not allowed to post links""

1) I have hosts attached and have returned work but still can't initiate a new post.
2) I am not trying to post links (but I should be able too).
3) I also am unable to initiate a new post in the Science Forum.
4) I am unable to initiate a new post in the Cafe forum.

Your Spam blocking techniques are very good as NO one can post except if the Admin has started a post then we can post there.

So this needs to be addressed so we post in the correct forum about any problems we are having.

Thanks

Conan

Is 60+mb upload going to be normal for tasks in Universe? For me to upload 60mb takes 2 to 3 hrs. I had to abort several hundred tasks due to these huge uploads. If this is going to be the norm I will have to limit one pc to 4 or 5 tasks a day as to not backlog my upload.

I need to fix forum spam blocks code... Is definatelly somethings wrong with it.

About WU results files size.
Yes, at the moment the results are about - 60-70MB for each WU which is huge amount of data.
We will try to reduct amount of data stored in results in next batches but at the moment all that information are usefull.

These badges are temporary, on BOINC@Poland forum we currently discuss for more badges with more steps and about more 'consistent' pictures for badges.

I don't know how signatures takes badges from projects, I think projects admins have nothing do do with it.

Hello Krzyszp,

THX for information!

(Btw i'm a co-worker from a now finished project.)

Projects user are mutch more as the spirit of the project!
"pet" them by feeding with informations and some other little goodies!!

We made good experiences by using a private - non boinc - messageboard, (hosted on a different server).
it's more secure and they have more possibillities as the boinc one.
But the main point is that you are able to communicate with the user if the project server are down!!!

If you like me to help pls pn.

Thx and apologize for my bad english (missing exercise...)

Regards
Miko

Thx Miko :)

I'm currently thinking about moving forum to separate server if I get one to work on it, but this is independed from me...

I'm trying to inform about all thing but at the same time I'm working for three BOINC servers and not always I can do this quick enough (I have also another job, where quite often I have to drop everything and switch to other tasks).

Another point is that this server starts befora I made all tests because some people found it on Internet ;)

Last but not least - most things starts ok and I'm relly enjoy to be part of this project :)

Ok.

Is only some resend ready to go at the moment, I'm also strongly work with MySQL server as database are growth rapidly recently (so, I have to remove some old results to get it back correctly).

We will not create new job until work on new app finishes and it takes while until UW team finish their work on it and I will port application to BOINC.

I hope this not takes to long.
