My apologies if I've missed this discussed elsewhere... I returned to this project after being away for awhile and just noticed that I've been getting this message on all hosts:

This project is using an old URL. When convenient, remove the project, then add https://universeathome.pl/universe/

Before I empty my cache and detach/re-attach, I'd like to know if this really necessary and effective. I've seen this message before at other projects and been through the detach/re-attach cycle only to find that the message (or something similar) persists. And, if that is the correct URL, I recommend that the project home page and instructions to join the project be updated.

I guess this is a convenient time, since I'm not getting workunits.

Just a heads-up: BoincStats BAM is still using the old URL as well, so those of us who use BAM rather than attaching directly will keep getting this message.
This has been raised on the BAM forums, but the developer has said that due to past problems with other projects he wants someone from Universe@Home to give the go-ahead to switch the project's URL in BAM to the HTTPS one.

Yes I'm using BAM as well and I can confirm that they need notification directly from the project admin before switching to the new URL.

Doesn't look as though that's going to happen any time soon though...

If you go back a ways on this message thread you will see a posting from the PM ... if you click on his highlighted name you will go to his generalized account where you have the option to send him a personal message. (PM)
