Is there a time delay for new participants to create a team, beyond getting finished work unit credit?

G'day. Just joined up the other day, now I've my Pi 3 running (I use OSes on other computers that don't run U@H). I'm pleased to be able to finally contribute to a cool project like this. However, I was unable to create the team I always create for every project. I figured I just needed to gain some credit to show I'm not a spammer, but I managed that earlier today, and I can still only join teams, not create. So I wondered, is there also a time delay before new participants can create a team? What are the specific criteria, please? What message you see when you try to create team? No worries, it's nothing important, after all :-) I just like to spread my usual BOINC group around, even if it's very niche and has a mere handful of members. Though it has been around in SETI@home since pre-BOINC days! So I'm proud of that. I'll PM you the details, but again - no rush, no worries. I've joined the Raspberry Pi group in the meantime *grins* Boy is it's leader dedicated to crunching work units! I wonder if he only used Pi's... Ah, okay, I'm already on a team and didn't want to leave to make a new one so didn't take that last step. Guess something has gone wrong since the anti-spam measure has been put in, that bit works but as you say you get a blank page after you successfully pass the robot test. Viewing the source code for the blank page shows it is the 'create a team' page though. |

Indeed. While it's always been a wee bit arcane to be forced to search for a group before being able to create one, in this case creating a new group or editing a current group are broken, with only the blank page displaying. I don't like to beat on projects (and those who administer them) like this that depend on time and effort freely donated, for worthwhile causes.
