The results of the Universe@Home project will be used by the University of
Cambridge! The cooperation will concern the reionisation of the Universe
throughout the cosmic time. This process has a huge impact on the evolution of
stars and galaxies.

Although University of Cambridge has a vast computational power, the number of
project run on their computers and other problems made Universe@Home a
promising alternative.

We will let you know about the details of the project as soon as we obtain the
first results.

------------------------------------------

Wyniki otrzymywane w ramach projektu Universe@Home będą wykorzystane na
Uniwersytecie w Cambridge! Współpraca będzie dotyczyć rejonizacji (ponownej
jonizacji) we Wszechświata. Proces ten ma postawowe znaczenie dla
ewolucji gwiazd i galaktyk.

That is outstanding.
You get all 8 cores of my i7-4770 now, reserving only a couple for GPU support when that time comes.

#4 What Re-ionized the Universe?
The early universe is thought to have been a dynamic place, and about 13 billion years ago, it underwent a so-called age of re-ionization. During this period, the universe's fog of hydrogen gas was clearing and becoming translucent to ultraviolet light for the first time.

Scientists have long been puzzled over what caused this re-ionization to occur

Thanks for the nice link!

What have driven the age of re-ionization is indeed a well-known problem, which is still unresolved. We hope that Universe@Home will help to shed some light on it!

Were there only 60 tasks sent out recently? I saw the post on WUProp that this was active again.

That's a strange statement. I think it still is.
