Yes, I have the "Leave non-GPU tasks in memory while suspended" option checked.
I rely on that, to not waste work, when I suspend and resume.

I hope you can repro the problem.

I have a task from your project, and the app version is listed as "Universe BHspin v2 0.01" running on Windows 10 x64.

It has a BUG!

It is not suspending, when I request it to suspend. This causes my CPU to be overloaded, which then causes problems with UI responsiveness and interaction. It also throws off Benchmarks.

Can you please fix your app? I may have to set your project for "No New Work" until you get it resolved.

2 more issues:

1) I tried to create a post in the Number Crunching forum, but no matter what I try, I get this error preventing me from posting:
Users with no hosts attached are not allowed to post links
2) Here's the problem I was trying to post, along with a recommended solution:
Subject: Increase Your Deadlines

Your deadlines (currently 2-day deadlines, I believe)
... are too short, and are causing my GPU devices to go idle since BOINC thinks it must prioritize your CPU tasks ahead of the GPU tasks, in order to meet your crazy-short deadline.

If deadlines aren't that important, then you can set them to something like 1 month or 2 weeks, and probably be just fine. If deadlines are important, then I'd recommend you to use a 7-day deadline if possible. A 5-day deadline might work too, if needed.

Can you please increase the deadlines?

It's maybe because the project still isn't on projects list yet?


"Universe@Home" *WAS* on the BOINCstats "Sign-up for projects" page, and I used the "Create Account" hyperlink, and it properly faded away from that page, indicating that my BOINCstats account has joined the project. *BUT* it doesn't list on the "My projects" page, which is the problem. All I see on the "My projects" page is the "Universe@Home Test" project, which was already there.

Thank you. That helps more than you know, and might actually help Willy figure out the problem with BAM! It's important to have things setup correctly there, so your project gets viewed by users, and can easily be maintained on a grand scale.

You might consider contacting him to resolve the issue.

Ah, so you are saying that the "Signature error" is a BAM! problem? At first, you made it sound like it was related to the Test project, and requiring a reset of the Test project. It would be nice if you could explain to us the problem, and how it can be fixed.

It's still not working. I believe the "signature" error is unrelated to the Test project.

Can you reproduce the problem using these exact steps, in this exact order?
- Tell BAM! to not attach the host to the "Universe@Home Test" project
- Tell BAM! to attach the host to the "Universe@Home" project
- Tell BOINC to stop using BAM!
- In BOINC, Remove the "Universe@Home Test" project
- In BOINC, Remove the "Universe@Home" project
- Shutdown BOINC
- Restart BOINC
- In BOINC, Add Account Manager BAM!
.... it does not attach correctly, and gives the error: [error] Bad signature for URL http://universeathome.pl/universe/

Also.. is this a project bug? Or a BAM! bug? I'm not sure.

Bad signature error:

"Reset project" function in manager. Serlect "Projects" tab, then select Universe@Home (the test one) and click "Reset project" button on left side.

If I've got 500 computers attached to the "Universe@Home Test" project, what am I supposed to do? Surely you can fix the problem server-side, right?
