3) Message boards : Number crunching : Problem with BHspin2 v0.02 (Message 2100) Posted 1 Apr 2017 by fruehwf Post: It seems that the Project has successfilly backedup. since the working Version for BHSpin is(0.01) deeper than the last downloaded (0.02) I had to cancel all running tasks , then reset the Project and at last update the project.. Now everything works fine. But the not finishing Task Problem from Version 0.01 will appear again. So I will have an eye on the machines. hth Franz

I earlier had to quit this project last spring because my family does not want the heat from my computer when it is working all day long during the spring or summer. Now that temperatures have dropped due to the onset of autumn, I am trying to rejoin this project. I am unable to get any work units now. I am posting to help you learn of a possible corner case. Mayby it helps when you merge your old and your new Computer. Go to details page of new Computer and click "merge" at the bottom of the page.

Be patient, other hosts get tasks as welll HI! I've seen you have reseted the History from one of my Windows-Machines. Now it gets work without Problems.Seems that this helps. HTH Franz

Usually manual update will help. Manual update doesn't help. I implemented a Windows Task witch makes an update every 10 minutes. From time to time mostly in the morning (MEZ) the chruncher get some work. Then the hole day only aborted jobs from other windows machines.

And also reduced consumptions: 7950-200W, Rx470-120W. 717/200=3,58 365/120=3,04 Not a big difference. And RX470 will be better with new drivers Let's see how the gpu load is. I've just seen a mistake in my prior post the RX470 has only 309 GFlops. The RX480 has the 365. With the TBP and TDP values you hav to be carefull. DP Calculation is not mainstream gaming ist goes to "Maximallast" In Milkway the 7970 takes the full 350 Watts. Im MW you can push up the GPU Load to 100 % when you calculate 2 - 4 Task in parallel. This is possible in many othe projects. (I've done this im MW and Moo Wrapper). What elektric power an RX470 or 480 taks in MW mayby the MW guys know more.
