Post: The Pentathlon will be over soon and everything will return to normal. It's a bit of fun (not really a competition imo) but just a bit of fun. A competition has rules and a level playing field, these events don't have that. I have 100's of wu's waiting for upload. Tick tock |

Post: Whilst I appreciate all the work you have done and are doing, I'm not in a position to contribute to a wage. I'm on a below average income myself with a young family to feed. I've invested a lot of money into my crunching equipment and electricity prices in Australia are some of the highest in the world. It's a shame that other bodies (like the university) with far deeper pockets than my own can't support you with this work. I'm trying not to see your words as a threat that if you don't get paid by volunteers then you will discontinue Universe@Home but your post has planted a seed of uncertainty for me. It would be a shame if the project died but I guess "if you don't ask, you don't get" so perhaps others with more spare money will assist you. Best of luck and thank you once again for your hard work Krzysztof. |
