I've just downloaded BOINC on my new Amazon Fire TV Stick and it works fine with Universe@Home and WuProp@Home. I've tried to connect to World Community Grid and Einstein@Home but it doesn't.
However, I'm happy to help Universe@Home with another Android device 😁

Does Universe@Home work with Android 9 devices? I'm upgrading my OnePlus 5T to Android 9 Pie, but if this is a problem, I'll wait until the WUs will become compatible.

Post:
You should see in the Preferences how much % of CPU you have set. And I noticed you have an Intel i5 4core, so you can do almost 4 WUs contemporary and every one uses 25% of CPU (1 core).
However, I advice you not to use more than 75% of CPU power, leave one core to the system.

Does anyone have a Threadripper 2xxx on Universe@Home? (Especially 2990WX) I'd like to know how much work it can do in a day.
11) Questions and Answers : Windows : BOINC (Message 3038)
Posted 20 Sep 2018 by Alessio Susi
Post:
BOINC is an app that uses CPU and GPU computing power to help scientists analyze their data about biology (cures for cancer, Alzheimer's, AIDS, Parkinson's, Ebola and so on; or to analyze the evolution effects in human population), about astrophysics (search and study of black holes, neutron stars, solar systems and gravitational waves), and about physics (especially LHC@Home analyzing how the particle accelerator works).
The app does all this automatically. You just have to download it, attach to the project you like and set how much cores to use in the settings. That's all.

Are there problems with Android 8 devices? I have a OnePlus 5T (Android 8.1.0, Snapdragon 835 CPU) and all tasks fail after less than 10 seconds. Is it a problem with ALL Android app or just with Android 8?

Ok, after canceling WU's upload, I get the points, but do you really receive the completed WUs? It has no sense to cancel uploads to get points if you don't receive the analyzed data.

I had the same problem.
I just cancel the upload today, because all workunits are behind the deadline.

After canceling the upload, those units were ready to report.
Wondering... OK...
Update project and voila: those workunits that were not validated by now from other (it was only one workunit) get granted ....
The other eight workunits were "too late for validation"..

Not sure if it will be the same to other...

It works!!!
Finally I can work for Universe@Home and send WUs back.
